MSU Student Housing Assistance Corporation

The MSU Student Housing Assistance Corporation was established in 2016. This Missouri Charitable Corporation is supported by Eta Kappa Chapter of Sigma Chi alumni and friends and exclusively provides financial assistance to our Sigma Chi Active Chapter at Missouri State University. The Organization was created with the express intent to raise funds and resources for the specific purpose of offsetting housing costs for Sigma Chi student residents at our Chapter House who are in need of financial support.

Board of Directors for the House Corporation are Keran Lemons, Brayden Venatta, John Schekorra, Tim Loudis and Doug Schmidt.

MSU SHAC is an IRS recognized  501c3 Charitable Organization that operates with the purpose of reducing housing costs for our Sigma Chi student residents of our Kimbrough Ave. Chapter House.

Donations to MSU SHAC are tax deductible to the donor.

Our House Corporation pays its expenses from lease payment revenue combined with contributions from alumni and friends. MSU SHAC works closely with our House Corporation to assist in lowering costs of operation, reduce mortgage debt and provide financial assistance to Sigma Chi Chapter House residents based on financial need. MSU SHAC provides housing cost scholarships for those Sigma Chi residents who are currently supported by other financial aid programs from outside organizations or through Missouri State University Office of Student Financial Aid.

To cover Chapter House operating expenses, MSU SHAC requires continued financial support from alumni. Rent subsidy for eligible Sigma Chi residents is an important means of assistance for our undergraduate Sigma Chi residents.

We encourage alumni to register your contact information here and set up a one-time or recurring monthly donation in support of MSU SHAC that will be a tax-deductible donation.

For questions or to obtain more information, contact MSU SHAC president John Schekorra by email at [email protected] or call 630-835-6915.

This is a time to reflect on your Sigma Chi experience. Remember the impact this brotherhood has had on you and imagine how this chapter will affect future brothers. Eta Kappa has given each of us an unforgettable experience; it is our duty to honor our membership and invest in the future of Sigma Chi at Missouri State. In keeping with our motto—In Hoc Signo Vinces—we look forward to conquering the challenge of sustaining a bright future for Eta Kappa Chapter of Sigma Chi.
